No doubt, "Killection", the tenth studio album of the Finnish monster rockers Lordi, has become the most versatile and extraordinary work of the band so far! Officially, the rock/heavy metal band Lordi was formed in 1992 by singer, songwriter and designer Mr. Lordi. The band has deep roots in Finland and originally comes from Rovaniemi in northern Lapland. in 2006, the band made their international breakthrough with their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest ("Hard Rock Hallelujah"). But is all this perhaps just our pitiful little reality and are things in reality quite different? What if Lordi have actually been active since the early 70s, unleashing one hit after another on humanity since then and now look back on a whole collection of successful songs? That's exactly the idea behind Lordi's tenth studio album, "Killection." Once again Mr. Lordi, presents us with one of his equally absurd and brilliant ideas: "Killection" is a compilation album that acts as if Lordi had already existed since the early 70s. It delivers all the hit singles of the different decades, how they would have sounded if Lordi had made music at that time and how they would have had to compile a compilation with their best hits now "'Killection' has become a fictional compilation album," Mr. Lordi sums up the whacky idea in his own words. "It includes all the songs Lordi would have written between the early '70s and 1995 had they existed back then. And as befits a good compilation, there's also a brand new song from 2019 on it."
