Phenomenal picture show - live from Milan Cathedral For the first time, Rossini's biblical drama Mosè is performed inside a cathedral using state-of-the-art technology and atmospheric light and color effects. Ruggero Raimondi shines in the title role as Mosè. Ruggero Raimondi remains among the elite of international opera singers. born in 1941, Raimondi had his greatest successes in the 1980s and 1990s, making him one of the most successful opera stars of our time. As Mosè in Rossini's opera of the same name, Raimondi is able to bring all his vocal class to this production, which was recorded in the unusual and architecturally significant setting of Milan Cathedral. With large-scale projections, the cathedral becomes a fantastic, partly surreally illuminated opera stage, creating stimuli for both senses in this utterly fascinating recording.
