"White Limousine" brings us a musically and lyrically mature artist who knows how to perfectly balance melancholy and serenity. Duncan Sheik's former comparisons with Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake can be used again, but this time on a par with the legends. Instrumentally, relaxed sounding pop spheres dominate, vocally he is close to Simon & Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills & Nash. In the remote final song "Hymn", he sings, amplified by the violin and cello sound of the London Session Orchestra, the sunrise of love.
