In 2018 Krisiun return with their 11th studio album "Scourge Of The Enthroned" brilliantly and let the three-year-old, somewhat long and complex predecessor "Forged In Fury", a crisp 38-minute death metal barrage follow, as only the three brothers from Brazil can! Recorded with Andy Classen at Stage One Studio (Belphegor, Legion Of The Damned), the new work sounds focused on the essentials and absolutely natural. You can hear every detail, but instead of umpteen smoothly ironed, trimmed to high gloss layers of tracks just a real band! "We hate this plastic death metal! Here you hear people, not computers!" says singer Alex Camargo with satisfaction. "Andy's studio is in a hamlet near Kassel, and there's no danger of getting distracted there. We just hammered out songs like crazy from morning till night." This resulted in an intense, merciless bastard of Krisiun's early phase, the 2008 opus "Southern Storm" and some epic moments, which with "Demonic III" even offers a band anthem, which builds a bridge to the artwork by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Hate Eternal, Sodom), just like the mythical Annunaki thematized on "Whirlwind Of Immortality" "'Demonic III' has that 'Black Force Domain'-esque riff and is indeed about us. The Annunaki have often been depicted as seven characters, but this close to our 30th anniversary in 2020, we thought it fitting to present ourselves as three ancient death metal deities!" Until 2020, though, you can let this load of sick Moyses riffs, insane drumming from Max and bassist/vocalist Alex's monstrous Lemmy-esque pipes hammer you away. A real death metal highlight of 2018!
