Popis
Globetrotter tour through the world of music with violinist Nemanja Radulović "Radulović's outstanding technique makes Paganini's countless technical challenges seem like child's play", wrote BBC Music Magazine about the Serbian-French violinist Nemanja Radulović. Now his first album, Roots, is being released by Warner Classics, in which the up-and-coming artist brings together melodies from all over the world - from the multi-ethnic Balkans, Spain, Italy, France, Israel as well as Japan, China, Brazil and Cuba. Radulović talks about the idea for the album: "When the lockdown began, I couldn't play. I preferred to listen to music of different styles. The ones that really made me feel alive were Mozart and world music. They connected me to the essential feelings in our lives: Joy and love". The young and well-traveled violinist hopes to transfer this electrifying joie de vivre to his listeners; he relies on the international language of music, which connects people across borders. And yet each piece of music has its very own sound. In order to work this out, Nemanja Radulović explored the different traditions of how a trill or bow stroke is performed in countries such as Ireland, Serbia, Japan and India. Together with a friend, Radulović arranged the works for violin and the ensemble Double Sens, which he founded. The result is a lively combination of violins, cellos, double bass, guitar and the diverse expressive power of the human voice.
