GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist and composer Melissa Aldana is now part of the Blue Note family as a soloist, having already made a splash there as a member of the ARTEMIS collective. The Brooklyn-based Chilean has earned international acclaim for her visionary work as a soloist and bandleader. Her Blue Note debut "12 Stars" was produced by guitarist Lage Lund, and the quintet is completed by Sullivan Fortner on piano and Fender Rhodes, Kush Abadey on drums and Pablo Menares on bass.
