America's answer to the British art rock invasion in the 70s was the sextet Kansas. With catchy songs and sophisticated instrumental arrangements, the formation from Topeka / Kansas thrilled their fans. Besides the cuddly evergreen "Dust In The Wind," the best-known piece by the Steve Walsh-led band is the power rock anthem "Carry On Wayward Son" from the album "Leftoverture," released in 1976; the song advanced to No. 6 in the U.S. charts in early 1978.
