The most successful French singer in the world? ZAZ! Three years after her last album "Effet Miroir" (number 3 in Germany), the musician is back with a new album.
Back in July, ZAZ made her international fan base sit up and take notice with the announcement that she was currently working on a new album. In her ongoing online series "Le Journal D'Isa" (see below), the French artist gave an insight into the preparations for the album recordings and commented: "As you must understand, I was preparing a new album... see you this Autumn for a new project ".
ZAZ used the last year to develop herself further: she took singing, theater and dance lessons to get out of her comfort zone. She also put together a new musical team with whom she worked intensively.
The 41-year-old has released four studio albums to date, selling over 4 million records worldwide. This makes her the most successful French singer in the world. Her tours have taken her around the globe, most recently ZAZ played a tour of 16 countries in 2019 - the biggest tour of the year by a French artist. ZAZ (who was born Isabelle Geffroy in Tours, France) is often compared to the likes of Edith Piaf and Ella Fitzgerald and her unmistakable voice is celebrated around the world. A graduate of the Jazz Conservatory, she moved from Bordeaux to Paris as a teenager - the beginning of a unique journey.
Since launching her career in 2010 with the groundbreaking hit "Je Veux", ZAZ has won a host of awards, including the ECHO in the "Best Female Artist International Rock/Pop" category in 2015. She has played over 500 arena concerts on five continents, proving time and time again that her music is boundless.
