Wes Montgomery was one of the great pioneers of electric jazz guitar. To celebrate his 100th birthday, one of his best albums will be re-released on vinyl on March 6, 2023: "Smokin' At The Half Note." Co-leader on the smoking hot recordings, half of which were recorded live and half in the studio, was pianist Wynton Kelly, who was flanked by his well-rehearsed trio partners Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb.
