At the age of 14, Jordi Savall attended a rehearsal of Mozart's Requiem. He was so strongly moved by the music that he decided to become a musician himself ... From 2021 to 2023, Savall again worked intensively on Mozart's last work as a musician and intellectual. Together with soloists, the choir La Capella Nacional de Catalunya and the orchestra Le Concert des Nations, a new interpretation was developed in intensive rehearsals, and six concerts, which is now available. Says Savall: "Rarely has a composition been so strongly shaped by the genius and suffering of a human being."
